ZAUBERHAFTE
HEXEN
THE POWER OF THREE
The CHARMED show is called "_C_H_A_R_M_E_D_"
in most countries, but it also has a separate name in each
language.

In German, the CHARMED show is also known as
ZAUBERHAFTE HEXEN.

There is a also a series of books in German, based on the
show,called
ZAUBERHAFTE SCHWESTERN.

HEXEN means WITCHES,  and
SCHWESTERN means SISTERS.

ZAUBERHAFT means

ENCHANTING
MAGICAL
GLAMOROUS

(Although these all have their own words in German).

Go to the German-English dictionaries, found in the
search engines, such as:

http://dict.leo.org/

Look for the words "English Version" on the left side.

Many foreign language websites will offer an instant
translation into English.  Just look for the word "English,"
and click on it.  However, you will probably also want to
see the site in its original language, to see what it really is
supposed to look like.

Even when the site is in another language, there are often
several English words used, especially on the links.  They
probably want to appeal to English-speaking viewers, but
they also are using more English words THEMSELVES.

NOTE that the word "CHARMED" is directly translated as
"BEZAUBERT," which sounds to me like "BEWITCHED."
Of course, that would be a different show altogether.

BEWITCHED is called
VERLIEBT IN EINE HEXE - -
FALLEN IN LOVE WITH A WITCH.

Go to the Yahoo! main page.

Click where it says "ALL Y! SERVICES" at the end of the

Click on the word "SEARCH."  This takes you to:

This is where I get all of my Yahoo! translations.

There are two sections under the word TRANSLATE.

The second section allows you to translate a website. The
first section allows you to translate any writing that you
type into the box.

You have to click on the "FROM / TO" box, and make
sure you have the right language order selected. Then
click on the word "TRANSLATE" in the appropriate section.
You will find an episode list IN GERMAN and English both, for
the show CHARMED / ZAUBERHAFTE HEXEN, at:

NOTE:
It is very important to note that a "translation" is often NOT a true
"word for word" translation.  Words are used which have greater
appeal in that language.

The titles of the CHARMED episodes are often a play on words
or a variation of another title or expression in English.

For example, the FIRST EPISODE is called:
"SOMETHING WICCA THIS WAY COMES," which is a
variation on the title:
"SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES."

This was originally a book by Ray Bradbury, which was made into
a movie in 1983.

In German, the title of the first episode is:
"DAS BUCH DER SCHATTEN"  - - or - -
"THE BOOK OF SHADOWS"

The first episode is also called "The Book of Shadows" in other
languages, as well. This is perhaps a better title, anyhow.

Not all sites have the "dot de."  Some sites might be "dot
